Pierre Hardy for Gap

Marie claire fashion news: Pierre Hardy designs shoes for Gap

PIERRE HARDY'S EAGERLY anticipated range of shoes for Gap goes on sale in store tomorrow. The collaboration from the designer, who has previously created footwear for Balenciaga and Hermes, will launch with two styles, with a ten-piece range going on sales for spring/summer 2008.

For autumn's taster range, Hardy has created a pair of patent platform sandals, and flat pumps in a range of colours. Speaking to The Times, Hardy revealed that the shoes were as much about comfort as style, commenting, 'these are comfortable. It's because of the padded soles, something I wanted to do with my own line for year, but never quite managed.'

Well worth an early morning start, get to your nearest Gap tomorrow morning, to make sure you get your hands on a pair. Prices start at £55.
