Victoria Beckham was named as Womanswear Designer of the Year at the lavish ceremony hosted by Cat Deeley

Victoria Beckham got another nod of approval from the fashion industry as she was named Womanswear Designer of the Year at the WGSN Global Fashion Awards.

The lavish bash, held at The Savoy in London, was hosted by a radiant Cat Deeley, who looked incredible in a dramatic feathered gown by Charlie Brear teamed with a white tuxedo blazer.

Of Mrs Beckham's achievements, the judges said: 'In just five years Victoria Beckham has gone from creating handful of dresses to building a truly modern and covetable luxury brand, defying cynics and winning over the critics in the process. This is her year.'
