Topshop is set to launch a powerful jewellery line later this month in support of the charity Eliminate Domestic Violence (EDV Global Foundation).

Collaborating with fine jewellery designer Solange Azagury-Partridge, Freedom at Topshop has created a four-piece collection which hopes to raise awareness around domestic violence in the UK.

Consisting of gold and silver plated pendant necklaces and earrings, the figure of a woman on her knees with her head in hands symbolises Solange’s key message of empowerment.

Speaking of the range, Solange explained: 'Support must overcome defeat; hope stamp out oppression and strength fight vulnerability. The jewellery sits close to ones’ heart to symbolise a united front in fighting the unjust and wrongful violence on women and girls everywhere. It's a strong image for that very reason.'

It is currently reported that 1 in 4 women experience domestic violence over their lifetimes with police in the UK receiving a domestic assistance call every minute.

Available in shops from 25 November, 50 per cent of all proceeds from the jewellery will be donated to EDV.
