And we’re super excited

We’ve got some excellent Friday news for you: Tommy Hilfiger’s TOMMYNOW show is finally coming to London for AW17, after previously taking place in New York and Los Angeles.

The runway event, taking place on 19th September at 7pm, will close London Fashion Week and have a see now, buy now format (the clue’s in the name really), that means you won’t have to wait to buy the clothes from the collections. Always a bonus.

In an innovative move, Hilfiger will show both men’s and women’s collections on the same runway (the first time since 2010), including Hilfiger Edition, focusing on menswear heritage, Hilfiger Collection, the brand’s more premium women’s designs, and the new TommyxGigi collection, the third collaboration with Gigi Hadid.

Tommy Hilfiger said, ‘My vision for TOMMYNOW was to create a global platform that could bring our shows to audiences around the globe like a rock-and-roll world tour. It’s about celebrating the connection between fashion and pop culture with experiences, performances and inspiring interactions that are designed around our consumers. We look forward to celebrating the rebellious spirit and star studded glamour of rock-and-roll in London for Fall 2017.’

The choice of venue fits in nicely with the rock theme too, as the show will take place at the legendary 60s concert venue, the Roundhouse. We can’t wait.

Penny Goldstone is the Digital Fashion Editor at Marie Claire, covering everything from catwalk trends to royal fashion and the latest high street and Instagram must-haves.

Penny grew up in France and studied languages and law at the Sorbonne Nouvelle University in Paris before moving to the UK for her MA in multimedia journalism at Bournemouth University. She moved to the UK permanently and has never looked back (though she does go back regularly to stock up on cheese and wine).

Although she's always loved fashion - she used to create scrapbooks of her favourite trends and looks, including Sienna Miller and Kate Moss' boho phase - her first job was at MoneySavingExpert.com, sourcing the best deals for everything from restaurants to designer sales.

However she quit after two years to follow her true passion, fashion journalism, and after many years of internships and freelance stints at magazines including Red, Cosmopolitan, Stylist and Good Housekeeping, landed her dream job as the Digital Fashion Editor at Marie Claire UK.

Her favourite part of the job is discovering new brands and meeting designers, and travelling the world to attend events and fashion shows. Seeing her first Chanel runway IRL at Paris Fashion Week was a true pinch-me moment.
