Our favourite designers added a touch of sparkle to their collections this season, thanks to Swarovski's AW11 sponsorship

Earlier this week, Swarovski announced their autumn/winter 2011 designer collaborations for 'The Swarovski Collective'. The lucky recipients included Henry Holland, Holly Fulton, Erdem, Roksanda Illincic, JW Anderson, Giles, Richard Nicoll, Mary Katrantzou and Marios Schwab - who've all showed their A/W11 collections at London Fashion Week in the last few days.

Mary Katrantzou and Marios Schwab showed this morning as part of the closing day at London Fashion Week - and both had crystal-ised designs on display.

Schwab upped the ante on his eveningwear, with jewel-embellished necklines and gowns, while Katrantzou added glittering crystals to her collection of antique-inspired intricate prints on lurex jacquard, satin and velvets.

'It was great to be able to work with Swarovski - it allowed me to add depth and a sense of luxury to the collection' said Katrantzou. 'There are unlimited ways to apply the crystals - it's fantastic to have all that at our disposal'

The collaboration highlights Swarovski's ongoing support for the emerging fashion industry, with similar projects in New York, Paris and Milan.

'We are delighted to work with such talented individuals who push the boundaries of crystal in fashion design. These visionaries continue to transform Swarovski into a major force in fashion and we are eager to see the incredible use of crystals in their collections this season!" says Nadja Swarovski, the Creative Director.
