Kanye West and Sir Paul McCartney's bromance almost steals the show...

The power pop duo that is Sir Paul McCartney and Kanye West were in danger of stealing Stella’s thunder at her AW15 fashion show this morning. Their super-bromantic arrival, complete with air kisses and matching V signs, sent the Parisian paparazzi into overdrive and almost gridlocked the roads before the real fash pack could arrive.

Luckily though, the designer herself wasn’t phased by her frowside family and delivered a collection of easy silhouettes, clever knits and cool tailoring that struck a perfect balance between our comfort zone and brave new ideas.

These are the pieces we’re lusting after….

The Paper-Bag Pants  Always one to put a cool new spin on classic tailoring, this season Stella turned her attention to high-waist trousers. The new way to wear them is with a gathered, paper-bag waist, nipped in with a luxe snake print belt. Variations included ankle grazing flares and a billowing green silk version. Gorgeous.

The Drop Shoulder Dresses So chic, so elegant! Stella’s done a series of one-shoulder dresses with flouncing asymmetric hems that we think will be our go-to come party season.

The Faux Yeti In a season of trends led (so far) by full-on furry jackets, Stella made her ethical statement clear with not one, but two faux-fuzz looks. In long shaggy piles with jacquard panel sleeves, hers are some of the most beautiful we’ve seen all season.

The Brocade Paneling Way to amp up a classic crepe dress. Stella’s rich patchworks were a considered design statement – precious enough to work for cocktails and subtle enough to pare down with daywear.

The New Lace Dresses Stella’s geometric latticework is sharper and less fussy than your regular floral lace. Cut into cool high neck midi-dresses with swooshing hanky hems, she teamed them with stomping boots rather than obvious heels, adding even more edge. Stella’s success is all in the styling and, as ever, these are looks that real women will want to wear.
