It was another feminine collection from Roksanda Illincic on day five of London Fashion Week.
The designer, whose creations have graced Kate Middleton and Michelle Obama, unveiled another sophisticated collection sure to be adored by those wishing to exude ladylike appeal.
Although known for her bright colours, Illincic has toned down the rainbow bright hues for A/W’12 instead focusing on a more refined palette of navy and chalky blues, rusty reds, lilacs and crisp whites.
The collection was highly wearable, dresses cut to flatter the feminine figure – with room to breathe – had that added va va voom appeal of exposed back zips.
Skirts fell to just below the knee, some had fishtail hems and one with a luxe fur trim, which gave an otherwise prim look a flirty twist.
Coats had a relaxed feel in cocoon shapes, while jumpers oozed that luxe sporty look when teamed with tapered leg trousers with navy silk paneling.
The crowd left the show smiling – a sure sign of a successful collection that had brightened up their day.
