The wardrobe staple has been given the SJP treatment.

The first dress from Sarah Jessica Parker's line of LBDs has finally dropped online, exclusively at Bloomingdale's. We reckon Carrie would strongly approve of the ballerina-style cocktail dress, which comes with a tiered tulle skirt and a pretty grosgrain ribbon. The Title Dress is now available for a cool £341.73, though we doubt it will stay in stock for long. Christmas party dress, anyone?

On September 28 we wrote: Think Sarah Jessica Parker and her Sex and the City alter ego's fashion-forward wardrobe is probably the first thing to spring to mind - waist belts with crop tops, tutus and that newspaper dress. But the actress's own aesthetic is far more classic, and the little black dress is one of her staples. So it's no surprise that her new fashion venture is dedicated entirely to the LBD.

With a shoe line and perfume already under her belt, SJP has just revealed that she's expanding to a new fashion line, appropriately named SJP LBD. She broke the news via Instagram, describing it as 'a collection of Little Black Dresses designed by me, all made proudly in the USA.'

She adds that the first dress will launch exclusively in US department store Bloomingdales but the design is a surprise. More dresses will follow including the one she models in the video below, which, if SJP is anything to go by, is ideal for dancing around revolving doors in! The chic ballet style skirt, low front and ornate back is a definite wardrobe staple, so we can't wait for a glimpse of the rest of the collection.

Here's hoping SJP LBD will be shoppable from the UK.
