Rita Ora, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and Rachel McAdams lead the week's stand-out style moments...

Yes, we know it's still only July. But the best dressed stars of this week were all trialling next season’s trends, now…

Rita Ora Does… The 80s Revival  Rita’s wearing ALL the sparkle at the X Factor’s London auditions. Lurex, foils and spangly sequins are AW15’s go-to party fabrics (spotted on the catwalks at Balmain, Versace, Christopher Kane and more) and we love that she's gone high voltage with the accessories, too - This season, more is so much more.

Rachel McAdams Does… All Red Every-Thang  Dior, Marni and Hermes all confirmed hot tomato as the key colour of AW15, and Rachel’s suit by Cristiano Burani certainly packs a punch. The key to working a top-to-toe hue, it seems, is in the sharp cuts, made even sleeker with those ombre Christian Louboutin courts.

Paloma Faith Does… The Geek  Raspberry berets, anyone? A first glance might make you think Paloma’s paying homage to an old French teacher, but she’s actually way ahead of the fashion game, nailing one of AW15’s key trends, the glam geek. Gucci’s new creative director Alessandro Michele made his mantra clear on the runway back in February – come winter, we’ll all be coveting a kooky beanie. Hats off to Paloma (sorry) for being brave enough to trial the trend first.

Cheryl Fernandez-Versini Does… The 60s Socialite  Cheryl’s working a haute mini with scalloped edges for the London leg of the X Factor auditions, teamed with clunky-cool Mary-Janes. Ladylike add-ons lead the new season's accessories trends - check out our report for more new season shoe ideas.

Christina Hendricks Does… Wallpaper Florals There's something a little bit off about this season's floral prints - they come in saturated colours and look just like the ones you'd spot on your granny's sofa. Christina's dress is the perfect way to ease into this trend - it's got summer's floaty boho vibes, with an edgier print.
