Paris Hilton ditches designer dresses for Dorothy Perkins
She may be best known for her love of OTT designer fashion, but Paris Hilton ditched her signature look yesterday, appearing on TV in a dress that was not only demure, but came from the high street, too.
Embracing Britain’s street style savvy, Paris donned a £30 white shift dress from Dorothy Perkins for an appearance on ITV’s Loose Women.
Whether Paris’s style was meant to be a stab at credit crunch chic is yet to be seen, but she revealed she has no need to save the pennies, telling the panel she can earn $500,00 a night just to attend a party.
‘Yes, I just do the red carpet, talk to everyone, dance. When you are doing something like that it’s always good to make an entrance,’ she said.
Promoting her new TV show, Paris Hilton’s British Best Friend, the heiress added that she finds it hard to trust people.
‘It’s really hard sometimes but over the years I’ve learned to read people and know what their intentions are.
‘Sometimes I give people gossip that’s not true and if it turns up in the papers then I know they can’t be trusted,’ she added.
