The Net-A-Porter founder will succeed Harold Tillman as the chairman of the British Fashion Council
Net-A-Porter founder Natalie Massenet will succeed Harold Tillman as the next chairman of the British Fashion Council.
Although the BFC is yet to officially confirm the appointment, Massenet is rumoured to take up the position early next year.
The British Fashion Council released the following statement this morning:
‘Despite rumours, the British Fashion Council has confirmed that any new chairman is subject to BFC executive board approval. The BFC executive board is not due to meet until this evening and any announcement cannot be expected until then.’
Tillman has acted as BFC chairman since 2008 and has been credited with putting London back on the Fashion Week map.
Earlier this year Massenet sold a £50 million stake in Net-a-Porter to Swiss luxury group Richemont who valued the business at £350 million.
