PICS: Get a sneak peek at Matthew Williamson's H&M collection

Matthew Williamson's first H&M collection may not be hitting stores for another month, but you can start making your shopping list now, as we've got the first pics of the designer's highly anticipated high street collaboration. And if the initial shots are anything to go by, then style fans will not be disappointed.

Taking signature elements of his much-loved mainline collection, Williamson has translated his designer style for a high street price point.

All the Williamson essentials are present and correct: the collection is characterised by statement bright hues, vibrant print and some seriously desirable dresses, that we predict will be flying from the shelves when the line launches on 23 April.

On his inspiration, the designer revealed that the collection could be considered a greatest hits.

He described, 'I look(ed) back at the past 11 years of work I've done for my mainline brand and looked at the pieces I felt were iconic.'

Marking a first for H&M's renowned designer collaborations, not only will the initial line debut this spring, but a second Williamson collection will land in stores on 14 May, and unlike any of it predecessors, will sell in all of the retailers 1,700 stores worldwide.

One thing that is likely to be consistent with the high street haven's previous collaborations, which include Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney and Viktor & Rolf, is that the collection is unlikely to hang around for long. Mark 23 April in your diary now; we anticipate a style scrum!
