Marc Jacobs' contract with LVMH is up in 2014, and according to industry sources, a move may be on the cards…
After 16 successful years at the helm, Marc Jacobs is rumoured to be considering parting ways with Louis Vuitton.
Fashion insiders say the eponymous design star's contract with luxury goods brand LVMH expires at the end of 2013 - and speculation is rife he may not renew it.
It's thought Jacobs and business partner Robert Duffy have been holding contract negotiations since last year.
But WWD reports that it's now likelier than ever that he'll leave the French Fashion House.
This comes after a shake-up at his own Marc by Marc Jacobs label, where he named Katie Hillier and Luella Bartley as creative and design directors respectively.
So who could be in the running to replace Marc Jacobs if he did leave the Louis Vuitton job?

WWD brands Nicolas Ghesquière the 'heir apparent' to the role, with a separate source saying the former Balenciaga designer is 'in serious negotiations' to succeed.
Meanwhile, it's rumoured that Jacobs is being considered to replace Reed Krakoff at Coach.
A spokesman for the designer has yet to comment.
