Queen of pop Madonna has been announced as the newest ambassador for super-brand Dolce & Gabbana, and is set to front their Spring/Summer 2010 campaign.
And having had everybody talking about her Louis Vuitton ad campaigns, we're sure that Madonna is going to once again have us all marvelling at her next fashionable project.
The rumours were officially confirmed by the luxe label's online magazine Swide, after they revealed that Madge shot the campaign over the weekend in Brooklyn, with photographer Steve Klein.
The designer duo, who were also in attendance at the shoot, are understandably over the moon at having the Material Girl front their new campaign.
‘We're on the last shot... M [Madonna] is simply beautiful,' blogged Stefano Gabbana, live from the shoot. ‘We're very, very tired but very happy as well... To have Madonna in our campaign is a dream come true.'
Dolce & Gabbana's Spring Sicilian-inspired womenswear collection features plenty of corsetry, sheer lace fabrics, caged-skirts and structured tailoring - and we can't think of anyone better suited to show off those delectable designs to full effect.
