Kendall Jenner, Karlie Kloss, Joan Smalls... the supermodels have arrived at Milan Fashion Week, upping the ante at the Fendi show this afternoon and helping to celebrate 90 years of the iconic brand. Karlie must be exhausted after all that Brits action last night, so it was a good job that Karl Lagerfeld and Silvia Fendi had an epic collection of duvet coats ready and waiting for her to sleep off that hangover in.

Here’s four coat styles from the show that you should get on your new season radar, now…

The Biggest-Ever Bombers Just look at the proportions of Kendall’s haute cropped jacket. Karl’s gone couture-like in his execution and teaming the coat with a patterned micro-mini only emphasises its embracing efforts.

The Abominable Fuzz Sheepskin gilets and curly Mongolian coats have already been confirmed as the textures du jour for the new season, after appearances at Topshop Unique, Matthew Williamson, Ralph Lauren and more already. Getting the seal of approval in Milan gives the trend even greater credentials – we’ll be tracking this one throughout the rest of fashion month.

The Ladylike Luxe Coats It wasn’t all cocoon coats, either. Double-breasted with giant buttons, nipped gorgeously at the waist and featuring cool contrasting panels around the hemline – this is the coat to wear for cocktails come AW15.

The Actual Duvet Coats Not since J-Law’s belted quilt-gown hybrid at last year’s Golden Globes has duvet dressing felt so chic. We could totally get on board with this look for AW15 – imagine how much cosier your commute could be, or how you could freely bump into stuff without feeling a thing. Dreamy.
