Did Kate Middleton hint at royal baby no. 3 over a month ago?

Probably just a coincidence, but you never know...

Probably just a coincidence, but you never know...

This week it was announced that Prince William and Kate Middleton are expecting their third child, much to the delight of Royal family lovers everywhere.

But throw back to the summer, while the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were on their royal tour Germany and Poland, and it looks like Kate Middleton may have known for a little while that she's expecting.

On the first day of the tour in July, Kate was presented with a gift designed for newborn babies (meaning her children George and Charlotte are now a little too old for them).

Upon receiving the present, she turned to her husband and said: 'we'll just have to have more babies!' to which they both laughed.

Initially, it just looked like the Duchess was joking with Prince William – but now, we can't help wondering if the two of them already knew that baby no. 3 was on the way (or at least, definitely in the planning for the near future).

It's probably just a coincidence, but we like to think it was Kate Middleton dropping major royal baby hints on us.

The toy bears, made by a company called Whisbear and worth £39.99 at Amazon, are designed to soothe newborns by recreating the sounds they hear in the womb with a gentle humming noise.

Co-founder of the company, Julia Sielicka-Jastrzebska said that Kate made the quip about babies when she discovered her children were now too old for them.

'We gave the Duchess some presents for Prince George and Princess Charlotte [and] she said they should have more babies, and they laughed,' Sielicka-Jastrzebska said, according to The Independent.

It looks like the toy will be put to good use with a newborn baby, after all.

We'll see you outside St Mary's in seven or eight months' time...
