And we're off! The Royal baby bump makes its debut on the Royal New York tour...

The Royal tour is ON! The Royal trio - the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge along with the growing baby bump - have arrived in New York for their jam-packed three day visit.

With the Empire State Building alight in red, white and blue in honour of the royal couple’s mini tour, Kate and William were given a rapturous greeting by hardy fans who braved freezing temperatures to see their arrival at the plush Carlyle Hotel in the city’s upper East Side.

Wearing a burgundy custom boucle ‘Marina’ coat from maternity brand Seraphine to wrap up against the chilly temperatures, Kate looked refreshed despite the long flight.

This is the first time Duchess Kate, who is five months pregnant, has worn a maternity label to an official engagement during her second pregnancy. When she wore the brand a week after giving birth to Prince George, the Duchess helped attract a month-long waiting list, while the pink jersey maternity dress worn in the first official family portrait with Prince George sold out in just two hours. Blimey.

So it’s fair to say that the lace dress Kate quickly changed into after her arrival in the Big Apple doesn’t stand much of a chance of being in stock for too much longer. The party-ready black lace number by Kate’s go-to label Beulah is (currently) available online, a snip at £650.

The eyes of the world will be on Kate for the next three days, no pressure then. But with two Stateside outfit changes in less than two hours, we can be sure to be seeing lots more of Kate’s flawless maternity wardrobe very soon…
