Jaeger designs Kensington Palace uniforms

Iconic British fashion house Jaeger is designing the new uniform for the royal residence's front of house staff

Iconic British fashion house Jaeger is designing the new uniform for the Royal Residences front of house staff.

Although no photographs have been released, sketches show a ruby red double-breasted blazer with a matching high-collared blouse teamed with slim black cigarette-style trousers.

The new look will be unveiled on the 26th March 2012 when the renovated palace opens to the public.

The label’s creative director, Stuart Stockdale, says he looked to the architectural and interior design details as well as royal ceremonial dress for inspiration. Describing the new uniform, he said: ‘It really tells a story and reflects Jaeger’s reputation for timeless and iconic designs that transcend time.’
