These are the fashion brand names we just can’t pronounce…

Debrett's published a list of fashion label names that we've been saying wrong this whole time...

From Moschino to Loewe, the fashion world is a linguistic minefield in which only the most diligent of us will emerge without getting tongue-tied.

Getting the name of the hottest new label wrong is a sin so bad it could get you thrown off the FROW, so thank goodness that etiquette authority Debrett’s has a new guide to help us.

They’ve published a list of the top fashion labels that we Brits have been saying wrong this whole time, and some of the entries (how could we get Ralph Lauren so wrong?!) are surprising. We’ve also added a few more to the list because apparently, we are really falling short when it comes to our fashion brand pronunciation. Case in point: Adidas… yes, we’ve just found out that the right way of saying Adidas is actually ‘ah-dee-dahs’. Ok then.

Mary Katrantzou – ‘Mary Kat-rant-zoo’
Rodarte – ‘Ro-dart-ay’
Saint Laurent – ‘San Laur-ont’
