Emma Watson on high fashion dates and designer looks

She may be best known as Harry Potter's leading lady, but Emma Watson is carving out quite a career as a budding fashionista.

Gracing the cover of Interview Magazine this month, the Brit actress poses provocatively, with a net covering the lower part of her face, and her mouth wide open. But it's her style chat that's got us talking.

Describing perhaps the ultimate high fashion date, Watson revealed she's been rubbing shoulders with a certain Mr Lagerfeld

'I'd met Karl a few times before, at parties or something... But this was a dream come true,' Watson raved. 'We spent the whole day together, and he can talk about anything — literature, art, science, modern culture. I was totally seduced. I felt spoiled to be spending so much time with him.'

And though she may be hanging out with one of the world's most influential designers, she won't be blowing those Potter paycheques on labels: 'I don't really buy designer stuff. I have a few nice things, but I don’t really have the occasion to wear couture too often.'

But it's not only Watson that's seen her style star rise; it's clearly rubbed off on her celluloid alter ego. On location in London yesterday, she was spotted in role as Hermione, in a stunning red ruffled dress, a far cry from the usual Hogwart's uniform.

The actress was filming scenes alongside co-stars Rupert Grint and Daniel Radcliffe for the final Potter instalment, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

As for life after the franchise, and Watson mused to Interview, 'I will be… uncontrollable. It's been half of our lives. It's made us, it’s formed us. It's such a big part of my life, so it will be really sad.'
