Romance was pushed to back of everyone’s mind with an edgy and moody collection from Diesel Black Gold on day six of New York Fashion Week.

It may have been Valentine’s Day but the Diesel Black Gold collection was far from a romantic experience.

Stomping to pumping beats in uber cool venue Pier 57, the first model opened the collection in a black and grey wool jumper with the printed image of a girl in tears.

Drawing on ‘Pulp Fiction’ for inspiration, the collection was hard-edged attitude at its best.

Soft mohair wool was toughened up with contrasting leather biker jackets and coats, while denim shirts gave the collection an androgynous twist.

Skirts and cropped printed jeans were slung low on the hips furthering that edgy attitude that designer Sophia Kokosalaki does so well.

A collection perfect for the ‘I’m so over you’ section of a woman’s wardrobe.
