Department store Debenhams has created a copycat royal wedding dress collection that hits stores today

It's the dress that catapulted Pippa Middleton into the spotlight, made women around the world green with body-envy, sent men gaga over her stunning figure and made future brides and bridesmaids desperate to recreate the look.

Well, from today you can, thanks to Debenhams who have designed a more affordable version of the Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen bridesmaid dress Pippa wore to her sister's royal wedding earlier this year.

The high street gown comes in a similar ivory colour to the designer dress and features the same cowl neck, cap sleeves and button detailing down the back, but will retail at just £170.

The dress was designed by the department store several months ago after being ‘inundated’ with customer requests, with eager shoppers signing up to a waiting list to receive information about availability.

For them the wait is finally over, as the dress hits the shop floor and the website today. To celebrate the launch, Debenhams organised a photoshoot outside of their Oxford Street store using a Middleton lookalike to model the much coveted dress.

And if you're a fan of the emerald green Alice Temperley gown Pippa wore to the royal wedding reception party, you’re in luck too, because Debenhams has also recreated that. The floor-length high street dress will cost shoppers just £99.

What’s more, the store is also launching flower girl dresses for children, again inspired by those worn at the royal wedding between Kate Middleton and Prince William, priced between £48 and £52.

What do you think of the Debenhams version? Do you think that it's a good copy? Will you be buying it? Let us know your thoughts in the comments box below.
