Flip-flops just got the Charlotte Olympia treatment...

Today’s top piece of shoe news? Charlotte Olympia is teaming up with Havaianas, lending her brand signatures (kooky-cartoonish design twists, retro decadence and a whole lotta kitty motifs) to flip-flops.

The debut SS16 collection will comprise of three flip-flop styles and a beach towel, WWD reports, and will hit stores in February 2016 after a preview at Milan Fashion Week this month.

The designs include an ode to Charlotte’s popular ‘Kitty’ flats, a ‘Charlotte’s Web’ pair with a gold spiderweb graphics and a pair featuring Bruce, the brand’s famous leopard mascot. See what happened when we met the fabulous Bruce, below.

The towel design, meanwhile, will be covered in illustrations of Fifties pin-up girls – this will surely be the best boudoir beach collection to wear, come SS16?

Best of all is the prices, though: While a pair of Charlotte’s luxe heels could set you back around £600, we’ll all be able to get our hands on this slice of the label, with prices reportedly set to start at a very purse-friendly £35.

The collab with the Brazilian flip-flop brand is a perfect match for designer Charlotte Dellal, whose mother is Brazilian model Andrea Dellal.

The news comes in the same week as she also launched a footwear design scholarship with the Cordwainers school at the London College of Fashion, the same place as she studied herself.

Clearly the busiest woman in shoe business, Charlotte recently told us about the two sides of her footwear addiction (that's heels and flats, FYI) and the agony and ecstasy that comes with finding the perfect pair. Read our full interview with Charlotte Dellal, here.
