The blogger and Instagram star, Camilla Coelho took to the Raplh & Russo runway yesterday to close their spring 2018 couture collection.
Set at the Grand Palais in Paris, the collection was said to be ‘a celebration of the many facets of all women’ and to pay homage to the Eastern exploration of the brand’s Creative Director Tamara Ralph.
This was translated into draped kimono-style silhouettes, decorative tassels, detailed embroidery plus a colour palette ranging from red to acid green and canary yellow. There was plenty of fauna and floral references too with crepe jasmine petals and handpainted songbirds.
The final wow factor was the bridal couture gown modeled by Insta star Camilla Coelho. The Brazillian born blogger who has nearly 7 million followers, took to the runway in a giant white silk and lace gown with a matching veil which trailed behind her.
On the front row cheering her on were her husband alongside fellow blogger Aimee Song. Posting on social media after the show, Coelho described it as ‘An unforgettable moment… Never felt so nervous in my life (and at the same time, happy and emotional.’
