Benetton launches worldwide modelling competition

The European fashion label wants to find models with a unique sense of style.

Benetton is set to launch a worldwide casting competition on 8 February 2010 to find a group of models to star in its next advertising campaign.

If you have a quirky sense of style or believe that you have a message to give to the world (but as yet have failed), then ‘It’s My Time!’ is the competition for you!

Benetton is asking interested people to visit their website and upload pictures and videos expressing their personal style and attitude towards life. If the label likes it you could be selected to be the face of its United Colors of Benetton Autumn/Winter 2010 fashion shoot.

The competition runs from 8 February to 16 March 2010 and will initially be judged by the web community who will vote for their favourite models online, selecting 100 of them to be finalists.

These fresh faces will then be evaluated by a specially-formed jury of experts, who will eventually choose 20 people to fly to New York and feature in a shoot with British photographer Josh Olins.
