Their Game of Thrones marriage came to a bitter end in the first season, when Jason Mamoa’s character Khal Drogo was killed off, but that doesn’t mean that he doesn’t still stick up for his former co-star and pal Emilia Clarke, who plays Daenerys Targaryen in the show we’re all obsessed with.

The latest episode of Game of Thrones featured a jaw-droppingly dramatic scene filled with fire, nudity and death - what more could you want?

All the Game Of Thrones deaths in order of how upset we were about them

High drama occurred when Daenerys, who is immune to fire thanks to her blood magic, burns down a temple filled with the leaders of the Dothraki, who were threatening her life. As they burn to their deaths, Daenerys emerges from the flames naked and completely empowered. It’s brilliant.

Posting a screengrab of the scene on his Instagram, Jason made this hilarious, sweet and moderately threatening comment dedicated to his former onscreen wife.

Kit Harington just said the cutest thing about falling in love with his former co-star

‘Hahahahahahahahahahahhhahaha. I love GOT. Don't fuck with my boo. Hahahahahahahahah @emilia_clarke love u Moon of my life ALOHA DROGO’

Brilliant. Could we be loving this GoT work-family thing more?

And while it may look all misery and fire in front of the camera, but behind the scenes it was very different. The cast had to take regular breaks in the green room when the flames became too hot, so Emilia decided to play a prank on a sleeping Joseph Naufahu, aka Khal Moro.
