Reality TV fans (and those of you in the reality TV closet), your lives are about to change for the better, and we’re not prone to exaggeration.
A new online streaming service called Hayu
(oh hey!) launched today, and shows exclusively reality TV. In fact, we’re going to go as far as to call it a reality TV Mecca,
because Hayu will stream over 3,000 episodes of reality programmes in box set form, including 50 shows that have never been aired in the UK *clutches heart*.
The service will also air episodes at the same time they’re aired in America, which means the dream of seeing Keeping Up With The Kardashians at the same time they do in the US, will finally be realised. Because, really we’d have no idea what they were up to otherwise.
The bevy of shows that will keep us in out pyjamas for days include: The Real Housewives, Million Dollar Listing, I Am Cait, Made In Chelsea, Don’t Tell The Bride, and Ru Paul’s Drag Race – which is an utter godsend as we often need Bianca Del Rio’s wisdom on demand.
There are also shows like The Shahs of Sunset and Flipping Out, which we’ve never seen before, but purely from the titles know that our lives will immediately become richer after a binge watch.
Hayu costs £3.99 a month with no contract, and has a thirty-day free trial. Also, because we’re living in the future, the curated service is fully integrated with news feeds and social media, plus they’ve made little sharable snippets of shows, so you can fill your friends Facebook walls with videos of Kim K crying.
You can access the service from your laptop, mobile, tablet and connect it to your TV, meaning you’ll never be able to escape any housewife, fake or real, ever again.
Can someone write us a doctor’s note? We may need take to our beds for a while.
