Andrew Garfield: To Beard Or Not To Beard?
The actor's facial fuzz is getting out of control.
The actor's facial fuzz is getting out of control.
We couldn't help but do a double take when photos of Andrew Garfield's unruly beard landed on our desks at MC Towers. A hipster beard this is not. No, this is more ragged and wild than those carefully cultivated chin whiskers sported by the majority of East London residents.
We know that the actor is growing out his facial fuzz for a movie role, most likely that of a Jesuit priest in Martin Scorsese’s Silence, but even so, when he stepped out with girlfriend Emma Stone at a dinner in New York to celebrate her recent movie Birdman, we couldn't quite believe our eyes.
Though, the British star doesn't quite get what the fuss is all about. He's been quoted as saying: 'It’s silly that everyone’s talking about the beard, like having a beard is such a weird thing. Everyone asks me about it and comments on it.' That's because it is such an outstanding beard, Mr Garfield.
So, there's just one question left to ask: to beard or not to beard? Place your votes in the comment box below or tweet us @marieclaireuk.
