Kate Middleton Wears High Street Coat To St Patrick's Day Parade - And It's On Sale!

by Ali Gray

Kate Middleton dressed all in green for the St. Patrick's Day Parade this morning. But unlike last year, she debuted a new coat for the festive occasion.

The Duchess of Cambridge is known for rewearing her favourite pieces - so we were half expecting her to wear the same elegant ensemble that she rocked for the 17 March event in both 2013 and 2012.

But instead of dusting off the same Emilia Wickstead dress coat, she surprised us with this pine green Persephone Trench by Hobbs. It's currently on sale for £195 - but if you want to copy the look, you'd better act fast. We're guessing this one will sell out in a snap.

The Duchess, 32, kept the green theme going throughout her look, wearing an emerald Gina Foster hat and matching courts.

Meanwhile Prince William avoided the festive colour, dressing instead in traditional military uniform.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge served as honoured guests for Irish Guards' St Patrick's Day Parade in Aldershot, Hampshire. William attended as colonel of the regiment and Kate was there to hand out traditional sprigs of shamrock to the 300 officers.

But it wasn't just the troops whom Kate won over with her charm. She also seemed to make a new furry friend, as she was snapped happily stroking the regimental mascot, an Irish Wolfhound.

All in all, it looks like the official appearance was a success for the royal couple - who just returned from their lush holiday in the Maldives.

Though we're guessing Kate was just thrilled not to suffer another stuck-heel disaster like she did at last year's event...
