There's one woman in showbiz who knows how to throw a good birthday party with all the trimmings. Here's how Cheryl Cole celebrated Nicola Roberts' big day...

Cheryl Cole certainly knows how to throw a party. The Girls Aloud star dragged her BFFs Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh away to Amsterdam this weekend, to celebrate Nicola's 28th birthday on Saturday.

And what better way to celebrate a milestone, than in a kinky S&M club? Umm...

Cheryl shared the first snap of her former bandmate clasping her hands over her face in horror as a PVC masked waitress sucked on her toes. Cheryl said: 'Only in Amsterdam! #toesuckage #happybirthdayginge.' Woah. What followed was a series of hilarious pictures as the night went on. Cheryl appeared to have escaped a toe-suckage herself, but still posted a snap of the performer confronting her with a whip. Ouch.

The girls' weekend got off to a rocky start after they missed their flight, with rumours on Twitter putting it down to a confrontation with airport staff. But Cheryl quickly dismissed reports, tweeting: 'Reading your tweets..!! Once again Nicola does the crime Cheryl does the time ! #somethingsneverchange.'

Cheryl and Kimberley both wore Henry Holland prints for the big birthday bash, while Nicola looked stunning in a black sheer polka dot dress.

The pictures pretty much speak for themselves. We're lost for words.
