Rebecca Twomey

Kristen Stewart is exactly the sort of friend every person needs as she expresses her loyalty and undeterred support to Nicholas Ghesquière the former creative director of Balenciaga – whose fragrance, Florabontanica the actress is also the face of.

In a special tribute issue of German magazine, O32C Kristen Stewart spoke of the moment that rocked the fashion world – when Ghesquière’s departure was announced. Speaking of the trauma that immediately followed the actress said:

‘The look on his face after that show, he had this look like he was actually the kid who was being told he wasn't allowed to do something. And he was totally not going to stand for it, and I was like, “I will totally run away with you.”’

And the former Twilight star’s admiration didn’t stop there as she recounted the moments after the designer’s 15-year partnership with the brand ended. She added: ‘I’m so f***ing proud of him because what he was about to do would rock people’s worlds. He was just like, “Believe for me.” I thought it was the coolest f***ing thing.’

And that is something she certainly does as she expresses her endless love for Ghesquière’s creations, ‘I’ve felt the happiest I’ve ever felt wearing these clothes,’ Kristen said. ‘I’ve also felt androgynous and rigid. Sort of like you’re wearing a fucking building. Nicolas is the sort of person who loves swimming in rough water...’

As does Kristen! They sound like the perfect friendship pairing to us.
