The royal enjoyed some gardening and met The Willows School pet on a charity visit to Manchester

Kate Middleton won’t let her baby bump or £1,065 Erdem dress stop her from gardening as she helped plant a willow tree at The Willows Primary School in Wythenshawe on Tuesday to mark her visit where she launched the school’s new counseling programme.

Fortunately the ground was dry so the Duchess of Cambridge and her heels didn’t get stuck in the mud, instead she managed to very stylishly do some digging and put soil around the news tree with the help of comedian John Bishop who joined the royal on her visit.

Of course that wasn’t all Kate Middleton did during her trip with Action on Addiction, the expectant mother played with the school’s dog, Henry who kindly ‘gave’ her a hamper for the royal pooch, Lupo.

After giving a short speech Kate Middleton also took time to meet with pupils giving special attention to 4-year-old, Jade Percival Smith. The Duchess played with her little blonde pigtails before saying: ‘I like your pigtails. How cool are they?’

The children then handed over a specially made book with all the things they believed a princess would enjoy doing, a delighted Kate Middleton read it agreeing with the fact she liked dancing.
