Beyoncé isn’t a lady to do things by halves besides, you don’t become one of the biggest stars on the planet by being understated – and when it comes to her Mrs Carter Show tour costumes it’s no different.

BEYONCÉ STRUGGLING WITH UPCOMING ALBUM

The gold body suit Beyoncé debuted on Monday night for the opening of her tour, complete with breast-shaped embellishments (that would make Madonna and Jean Paul Gaultier wince) was so extortionate that it took over 600 hours to craft as well as around 30,000 Swarovski crystals!

The American design duo, The Blonds featuring brothers Phillip and David, who created the piece along with Beyoncé, her stylist Ty Hunter and mother revealed the method behind the labour-intensive corset.

David told Fashionista: ‘To start, Phillipe hand-painted the suit on Beyoncé to achieve the correct shading. The piece was then hand embroidered with approximately 30,000 Swarovski crystals that took over 600 hours to apply.’

Ouch!

The golden glistening glow of the piece was a subtle nod to the singer’s nickname, Queen Bey with the designers telling WWD: ‘[It's] meant to give the illusion of being covered in crystallized honey.’

The bodysuit forms just part of the many costumes for the Mrs Carter Show tour, Givenchy, Pucci, Julien Macdonald and DSquared2 have all teamed up with Beyoncé to cultivated a piece.

We’re not even going to try and calculate the number of hours it would have taken to complete the entire tour wardrobe, lets just say it’s a lot!
