Justin Bieber Offends Wth His Distasteful Anne Frank Comment

by Lisa Potter

Justin Bieber writes that he hopes 'great girl' Anne Frank 'would have been a Belieber' in guestbook of an Amsterdam museum dedicated to the Holocaust victim.

The 19-year-old singer and his entourage are said to have paid a visit to Amsterdam’s Anne Frank House on Friday night, staying for just over an hour as fans gathered outside.

A touched Beiber felt compelled to share his thoughts on the famous annex of rooms above Anne's father's office where she spent more than two years during the second world war hiding from Nazi persecutors, but has angered some in the process.

Posting on Facebook, Anne Frank House wrote: 'Yesterday night Justin Bieber visited the Anne Frank House, together with his friends and guards. Fans were waiting outside to see a glimpse of him. He stayed more than an hour in the museum.

'In our guestbook he wrote: ‘Truly inspiring to be able to come here. Anne was a great girl. Hopefully she would have been a belieber.’

Justin Bieber's insensitive remarks about Anne Frank are the latest negatives to plague his controversial European tour. First there was his birthday meltdown, his scuffle with the paparazzi, the breakdown on stage, the two-hour late start for his sold-out concert, the photograph of him smoking a suspicious looking cigarrette and then the pet monkey in quarantine.

All of which indicating that being one of the most recognised faces on the planet with a huge responsibility, may all be getting a little bit too much for the teen idol.
