Kate Middleton paid homage to Scottish fashion today, wearing a tartan coat by Moloh, as she arrived in Glasgow. The Duchess of Cambridge is accompanying Prince William as he tours the city and visits young homeless people.

KATE MIDDLETON HONOURS DESIGNER ROKSANDA ILINCIC To fight off the bitter chill Kate Middleton wore the 100 per cent wool blue and grey plaid coat with a price tag of £425. The choice of tartan was yet another well-placed fashion move as it paid a subtle and stylish homage to Scotland.

The royal couple arrived at the Emirates Stadium in Glasgow shortly before midday after taking a commercial flight from London. On their first visit to the city, they will then take a tour of the stadium before stopping at the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome to speak with cyclists and launch a new project for the foundation that supports new sport coaches.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will then head to Quarriers charity to meet with young homeless people supported by the project. During the afternoon, Kate and Wiliam will use Skype to speak with young people about an innovative exchange scheme in the Netherlands.

The Way To Work initiative supports homeless young people, often with drug or alchol addiction, who visit the Quarriers Stopover centre in Glasgow and are then placed on a work experience programmme in the Netherlands. Both the Duke and Duchess will speak with young people benefiting from the scheme and chat about their experiences.
