Keira Knightley’s incredibly beautiful face is what usually causes a stir, but this time her shoulders are at the centre of an advertising storm, after her Chanel commercial has been banned for being ‘too sexually suggestive.’
KEIRA KNIGHTLEY IS ‘VERY SERIOUS’ SAYS ANNA KARENINA COSTUME DESIGNER
The Advertising Standards Authority has banned the Coco Mademoiselle fragrance advert from being aired during children’s programmes and films. The move comes after it was shown during a screening of animated movie, Ice Age 2 and sparked complaints from families that the advert was overtly sexual.
The commercial opens with Keira Knightley clad in a leather trouser suit riding a motorbike before she’s seen at a photo shoot in bed with her shoulders exposed and at one point it’s implied she’s naked beneath the sheets. A photographer then unzips her boots before attempting to kiss her.
KEIRA KNIGHTLEY WOW IN ERDEM
Chanel have defended the advert, insisting it was playful and sensual and not overly sexual citing that Coco Chanel, has a reputation as a strong, independent woman and Keira Knightley’s character was intended to reflect that idea. They also stressed that there was no nudity and Keira’s shoulders were only shown as part of a photo shoot.
