Tina Fey has confirmed she's working on Mean Girls: The Musical.

Talking to E! News at the Screen Actors Guild awards about turning her 2004 hit film about the trials and tribulations of high school into a musical, the actress said: 'Maybe! We want to. I would love to.' The 30 Rock star added: 'I'm trying to develop it with my husband, who does all the music for 30 Rock and I think Paramount's onboard.'

Fey wrote and starred in the movie alongside Rachel McAdams, Amanda Seyfried and Lindsay Lohan.
