Samantha Cameron wore a vibrant coral blouse to hand out Brit Awards tickets to troops in London.

In her capacity as ambassador for the Tickets for Troops charity, she visited London’s Wellington Barracks to give nine pairs of tickets to selected servicemen and women.

Troops given tickets had been chosen because they either excelled during their service in Afghanistan, or in other areas including on London Olympics duty.

While at the Barracks, Mrs Cameron also met troops currently receiving care and support at the London District Personnel Recovery Unit.

She said: 'It is such a privilege to meet these young men and women who have been so courageous in the line of duty and are so proud to serve their country.

'I am honoured to be an Ambassador for Tickets For Troops- a brilliant charity that works to give a little back to those who give so much.'
