Beyonce attends Gwyneth Paltrow's 40th birthday bash

Gwyneth Paltrow continued celebrating her 40th birthday in style last night, by inviting A-list pals Beyonce and Cameron Diaz to dinner in NYC.

Paltrow, who spent her actual birthday on September 27th in Italy with hubby Chris Martin and the kids, threw a birthday dinner for a few of her super important VIP friends at the posh restaurant Elio's on the Upper East Side of Manhattan.

The birthday girl wore a strapless black and white playsuit as she arrived on the arm of gal pal Cameron Diaz, shortly followed by Beyonce who rocked up in her $1m custom Benz van, flanked by a burly bodyguard.

Also at the fashionably late birthday bash was Chelsea Handler, Kristen Wiig, Christie Turlington and Steven Speilberg.

Last Thursday the Shakespeare In Love actress marked her big day this side of the pond by hosting a dinner at London's River Cafe, with Stella McCartney, Hugh Grant, Jamie Oliver and Mario Testino making up the glossy guest list.
