Rihanna’s latest on-screen appearance has nothing to do with her music career, instead she’s taken a starring role in Chris Brown’s rather bizarre video about loving two people entitled ‘The Real Chris Brown.’
The footage was posted on Vimeo following the announcement yesterday (Thursday) that the singer has split from his girlfriend, Karrueche Tran. The film features a montage of romantic black and white scenes of Rihanna and Chris together talking, cuddling and laughing.
The shots are merged with Chris traveling in a car speaking about the turmoil in his personal life. He says: ‘I’m stressed out… when you share history with somebody, then you tend to fall in love with somebody else, it’s kinda difficult [sic].
'Is there such thing as loving two people? I don’t know if that’s possible, but for me, I feel like that.'
We can only assume the singer is referring to his ex-girlfriends, Rihanna and Karrueche. This argument gains momentum on seeing scenes of the Vietnamese model and Chris together but silence as they both play on their phones with tension between them.
Clearly hurt by the footage, Karrueche tweeted, and then deleted: ‘Wtf is going on? All I’m saying is.. You don’t mess with people’s genuine feelings. You just don’t!” ife moves on.. So let’s all. [sic]'
She followed this with a softer message posting: ‘To love abundantly is to live abundantly, and to love forever is to live forever.’
Rihanna is yet to react to her ex’s video although she did tweet: ‘Ain't nobody bidness..... But mine and my baby! [sic]’
We think we’ll heed her warning!
The video also showcases two sides of Chris’ lifestyle, next to footage of him partying, dancing and enjoying crates of champagne, we also witness a distressed Chris Brown with his head in his hands, visibly upset.
It is not thought Rihanna and Chris Brown are back together, and the officially statement from him read: 'I have decided to be single to focus on my career. I love Karrueche very much but I don't want to see her hurt over my friendship with Rihanna.'
You can watch the video here but, be warned, it contains some offensive language.
