Kate Middleton may be adored by many (Marie Claire included) but her plight over the publication of topless photos isn't getting a sympathetic reception from everyone.
American entrepreneur extraordinaire, Donald Trump has slammed the Duchess of Cambridge expressing his thoughts on the issue on Twitter.
KATE MIDDLETON WINS LEGAL BATTLE OVER TOPLESS PHOTO PUBLICATION
Last night he posted: ‘Kate Middleton is great - but she shouldn't be sunbathing in the nude - only herself to blame.’
He added: ‘Who wouldn't take Kate's picture and make lots of money if she does the nude sunbathing thing. Come on Kate!’
The comments come after Kate and Prince William’s lawyer, Aurelien Hamelle spent the day in court in Paris putting his case forward for an injunction over further publication of the topless photos.
Last week Piers Morgan also used Twitter to air his views on the scandal writing: ‘Of course Kate's entitled to privacy, and this was a grotesque invasion, but sunbathing topless near a public road's just daft.’
It appears though the tycoon and media mogul are alone in their thoughts as yesterday Kelly Osbourne expressed her disgust over the press's treatment of the royal.
KATE MIDDLETON AND PRINCE WILLIAM LAND IN TUVALU
During an appearance on ITV1’s Lorraine yesterday she said: ‘I think what they've done to her is disgusting. Everyone has the right to privacy no matter who you are, no matter who you are - it's disgusting.’
Sarah Ferguson, who was the subject of topless photos published in The Mirror in 1992, shares Kelly’s sentiment.
She told the Daily Mail: ‘I have total empathy and sympathy for her [Kate Middleton]. Everyone is entitled to privacy. It is a devastating invasion of one's personal inner space. It is deplorable, abhorrent and despicable.
‘She is a beautiful young woman doing a great job for the country. Why should she be stripped of that moment with her husband?’
Today it has been revealed that William and Kate have obtained an injunction banning further publication of the photos.
What do you make of Donald Trump’s comments? Do you agree with him? Should Kate Middleton have exercised more caution when sunbathing? Or should her privacy be respected? Let us know in the comment box below.
