Katy Perry and John Mayer are 'no longer together'

Katy Perry and John Mayer have ended their brief romance but remain on good terms, according to US reports.

The pair were first romantically linked back in June when Katy was snapped kissing 34-year-old John at Soho House in West Hollywood. Then the couple were 'all over each other' at a Beverly Hills pool party earlier this month, according to onlookers.

But, alas, the fleeting romance has ended, with a source telling People magazine: 'They'll end up as friends. They were honestly having fun. People made it out to be far more than it was.'

Notorious womaniser John Mayer has quite the track record, having already enjoyed high profile relationships with Jessica Simpson, Jennifer Aniston and Jennifer Love Hewitt, while Katy recently divorced comedian Russell Brand.
