Rupert Sanders' brother-in-law claims Kristen Stewart affair 'went on for months'

While pictures of Kristen Stewart in a hot-and-heavy embrace with married Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders only surfaced last week, relatives of the British director claim that the pair have been an item for months.

Kristen Stewart issued a public apology for her affair with the married director last week, referring to the incident as a 'momentary indiscretion,' but according to Sanders' brother-in-law, Leopold Ross (brother of Sanders' model-wife Liberty), the affair has lasted several months and began during the filming of Snow White and the Huntsman.

According to The People, Ross explained: 'It was from the last half of filming and all through post-production, clear into last week,' he said.

Leopold also explained that sister Liberty Ross, mum to Skyla, seven and Tennyson, five, had been feeling dissatisfied with her marriage for some time.

'She made some sacrifices for something she thought was worth it, now she knows, right? Five minutes from her home.

'Doubt it was worth it but its life. It might actually make things better in the long run. She wasnt that happy for a while, but our family is close, shell be all right.'

Sanders issued a public apology to his wife and children last week, saying: 'I am utterly distraught about the pain I have caused my family. My beautiful wife and heavenly children are all I have in this world. I love them with all my heart. I am praying that we can get through this together.'

Sources close to Kristen Stewart's boyfriend, Robert Pattinson, say the star was 'weeks away from proposing' before details of the affair emerged.
