Myleene Klass greets Olympic arrivals with classical music performance at Heathrow Airport

By Jennifer Barton - Thursday 26 July 2012

Travellers passing through Heathrow's Terminal 5 en route to London's Olympic Games were in for a treat yesterday as Myleene Klass welcomed them to London with a piano performance of Vangelis' Chariots of Fire.

Klass looked every inch the Olympic mascot in her dramatic gold satin asymmetric gown with thigh split, which she accessorized with tumbling curls, spiked gold-toe metallic turquoise Louboutins and a Union Jack flag.

Of her role in London's biggest event of the summer (year? decade? century?), Klass said: 'It's the first time I've played in an airport and I'm sure it will create a lasting memory both for me and Heathrow's passengers as we all look forward to the start of the Games.'

'It's a wonderful opportunity to be part of London's biggest welcome for the thousands of people arriving for the London 2012 Games.'

The presenter and mum-of-two also took to Twitter to joke: 'Just finished playing 'Chariots of fire', piano remix for the #Olympics2012 Heathrow arrivals. Only time I'll ever be on Sky Sports news.'
