Katie Holmes showed off a sexy new look for a magazine shoot just one day before filing for divorce from Tom Cruise, and didn't mention her soon-to-be ex-husband's name once.
Holmes looks confident and relaxed on the cover of the mag, despite knowing that she was about to end her five-year marriage to one of the most powerful men in Hollywood.

The actress was shot for the upmarket Californian magazine C just seven days before filling for divorce and the interview took place literally 24 hours before the shock announcement was made. And, unsurprisingly, Holmes wasn't exactly gushing about her soon-to-be ex.
C magazine's senior editor, Kelsey McKinnon, who interviewed the star, told WWD that Katie made sure to never mention her then-husband, Tom Cruise.
'Going back over the tapes, there were signs: Holmes was certainly very aware of herself, laying a couple cards on the table but never showing her whole hand,' McKinnon said.

'Most noticeably, the one name decisively absent from her lexicon: Tom Cruise. She never actually refers to him by name over pages and pages of transcription.'
When specifically asked if having Suri Cruise made her closer to her husband, Katie replied: 'I don't know. I mean... I don't know.
'People have been having babies a long time.'
