Kate Middleton's wedding dress has netted the Royal Family a whopping £10 million in ticket sales, after becoming the star attraction of a Buckingham Palace exhibition last year.

In what were described by officials as 'unprecedented numbers', an amazing 626,000 members of the public poured through the palace doors to see the Duchess of Cambridge's stunning Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen bridal gown.
As the centre of the 73-day exhibition, Kate Middleton's dress was clearly the star attraction, but lucky visitors also got to see the Duchess's Robinson Pelham diamond wedding day earrings, as well as her shoes, wedding cake, and even the Cartier tiara she borrowed from the Queen.
Director of the Royal Collection Jonathan Marsdon described the exhibition as the 'best possible start' to the year.
'Unprecedented numbers came to see the duchess’s wedding dress, as the centrepiece of a special display celebrating the role of British design,' he told the Evening Standard.
The Queen famously described the ghost-like headless mannequin that displayed Kate Middleton's wedding dress as 'horrid', 'horrible' and 'very creepy' as she accompanied the Duchess on a private tour of the exhibition before its public opening.
Luckily not everybody thought so!
