Kate Middleton has been portrayed as a gold-digger in a new advert by Chinese tourism officials.
The two-minute video made by the Chengdu Association for Cultural Exchange with Foreign Countries, sees lookalikes pretending to be Kate, Prince William and the Queen trying to hail a taxi outside what is supposed to be Buckingham Palace.
KATE MIDDLETON'S £35K WARDROBE PAID FOR BY PRINCE CHARLES
When the fake Queen instructs William and Kate that they must use a cab to cut costs, the Kate lookalike whinges: 'I just don’t understand why we cannot take the royal limo. I didn’t marry royalty to schlep around in a taxi.'
The Prince William character is then seen to interject: 'But darling, granny is right. The commoners want to see us tightening our belts and all that.'
The viral has been filmed by the Chengdu officials to promote the region's Panda Cabs and to boost tourism.
Good luck with that!
