According to Us Weekly, the Prince, who reportedly inherited more than £10 million on his 30th birthday last week, sees Michael and Carole Middleton as 'his own family' and gave a contribution to help them purchase their new pad.
'He sees them as his own family and wants to help out in any way he can,' a source told the magazine of Kate'sparents.
While Clarence House said only that it was a 'private matter,' it is believed Kate's parents are in the process of buying a sprawling, seven-bedroom property near their current home in Bucklebury, Berkshire.
It's thought the Georgian manor comes with 18 acres of land, and 'fantastic views'.
Just yesterday, it was revealed that Prince William and Kate Middleton are themselves looking for a home, within striking distance of London, and both their parents.
Sources say Prince William is considering splashing as much as £5 million of his £10 million inheritance on the pad for him and Kate, should they decide to move away from Anglesey in the coming months.
'It’s not like they are scouring websites and calling agents all the time but they are keeping an eye out for properties.
'They don’t just need the perfect house. There are obvious privacy and security issues, too.'
