Katie Holmes and Suri Cruise have been battling the New York heatwave in adorable style.
Holmes and her six-year-old daughter didn't let the 37 degree heat stand in their way as they spent the morning in the Big Apple doing a food shop in Whole Foods.

When it eventually did all get too much for little Suri, the actress had no qualms in carrying her daughter through the baking hot streets of Manhattan.
Later on in the day, and after a quick outfit change, Holmes, 33, emerged out of her apartment in a bold purple pleated maxi skirt teamed with a green print vest.
