Kate Middleton revealed to a group of school children what it's really like to be part of the Royal Family

Kate Middleton joined a group of school children on their camping trip to Kent this weekend and opened up to them about what it's really like to be part of the Royal Family.

The Duchess of Cambridge took part in the outdoor adventure at Widehorizons Margaret McMillan House in Wrotham, Kent, to show her support for ARK Schools, a charity which helps give children from deprived backgrounds the opportunity to venture into the countryside and develop their confidence and teamwork skills.

Tigerlily Smith, 8, one of the children taking part, said that the Duchess of Cambridge was 'lovely and very, very pretty,' before adding: 'We asked how it felt to be a princess and she said it was very nice, she said she got to visit lots of countries but hadn’t seen as many as William. She said William was very sweet and kind and spoiled her.’

When another child asked her what her job was like, she replied: 'It’s very busy and great fun but I am very well looked after.’

Taking a break from her usual chic dresses, Kate opted for Zara jeans, Burberry shirt, a waterproof waistcoat by Really Wild and wellies from Le Chameau as she wondered through the woods with the group of 28 youngsters, aged eight and nine.
